Each year, more than 600,000 workers suffer from crippling back injuries and repetitive strain injuries (RSIs). These disabling injuries are the nation's biggest job safety problem. RSIs affect workers in virtually every industry and occupation.
It doesn't have to be this way. Ergonomic solutions to these problems are well-known and must be implemented. OSHA has issued a proposed ergonomics standard. But some employer groups are trying to block the proposal from become law.
