The donor examination performed by LifeShare Community Blood Services personnel is a free mini-physical. For many of our members, this has resulted in early detection of high blood pressure and other illnesses.
LifeShare is the only source of blood and components to every hospital in Lorain County and is a primary source to Cuyahoga and Stark Counties. Less than 10 percent of the population gives blood while 95 percent of Americans will need a transfusion before age 72.
LifeShare is a 60-year-old, unionized blood center dedicated to serving our region. Blood collected by the charity remains in the community where it is given.

BRING YOUR ID!
Donor card, driver's license or 2 forms of ID are needed to donate.

Fellow Members:
We encourage you to attend the blood bank in your area and to bring along any adult family members who may wish to give. You are eligible to donate blood if you are 17 years of age or older, in good health and weigh at least 100 pounds. There is no upper age limit to donate. Giving blood is easy, quick, painless and safe. To ensure that you receive pay for participating in the blood bank all donors must sign in with Local 19 and the LifeShare. LifeShare will determine all deferrals.
